The aims and purposes of ICLT are to serve Islam and Muslims, particularly the Muslims living in the Lake Travis area including Lakeway, Steiner Ranch, Riverplace, Grandview Hills, Canyon Creek, Bee Caves communities and Westlake Area. To this end, the ICLT shall: (a) Strive to strengthen and enforce the faith of all Muslims in Allah (SWT), His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Qurӡn, and the authentic Sunnah; (b) Help the Muslims and neighboring communities to carry out Islamic programs; (c) Promote unity and joint action among the Muslims; (d) Conduct religious, social, cultural, educational and other activities in the best traditions of Islam; (e) Arrange and hold congregational prayers and Islamic religious festivals such as Eid-al- Fitr and Eid-al-Adha; (f) ICLT will discourage any or all forms of hate speech and will work with law enforcement agencies as necessary (g) ICLT will stay non-aligned from any political activity as state, local and federal elections (h) Promote friendly relations and understanding between Muslims and members of other faiths; (i) Endeavor to make Islamic teaching known to members of other faiths; (j) Acquire and own real estate in the conduct of religious services; and (k) Loan and borrow money and acquire funds through fund raising drives, donations, gifts and forms of entertainment, for its religious, civic, educational and promotional (Daӷah) purpose.
